Sacred Sensual Movement TM (SSM) is a gentle yet powerful somatic technique developed by me, Dianne Shepherd. Over the past 10 years, I’ve done a deep dive study and practice in the areas of holistic sexuality, somatic healing, trauma release, and integration, and women’s sexual empowerment.

One thing I’ve discovered in my own healing journey is that movement is one of the most powerful healing tools we have. For most of us in our high-tech climate, it’s so easy to simply not move enough, or not move in ways that truly nourish us as fluid, sensual beings.

When we disconnect from the body and get rigid and mechanical in our movement, many ailments can arise. This can include low libido, pelvic floor issues, back pain, chronic stress, mood swings, sensual shutdown, the list goes on.

But we have the power to change that with a simple, daily sensual movement practice. Join me for a nourishing movement experience.

Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises (or TRE®) is a simple yet innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension, and trauma. Created by Dr. David Berceli, Ph.D., TRE safely activates a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.

The therapeutic muscle tremors evoked by the TRE exercise process is a natural, internal, neuro-physiological response of the body to reduce its own stress and restore a sense of well-being.

TRE is a body-based (somatic) process which, when done properly, through a Certified TRE Provider can allow the individual to discharge tension from the body, which often does not require “revisiting the story”. (ie: verbally describing or talking about the traumatic experience)

TRE is designed to be a self-help tool that once learned, can be used as needed, throughout one’s life, thereby continuously supporting and promoting personal health and wholeness.

TRE can be taught as either a simple self-help, tension reduction technique in a physical exercise program OR it can be used as an effective complementary practice when integrated with other treatment modalities by those in the healing professions, including the treatment of PTSD and anxiety disorder recovery.

In this session, we’ll go through some important details about the breasts and how they relate to our overall orgasmic vitality. I’ll also guide you through a simple breast massage practice. You’ll need some organic oil or body butter for this practice or a silk scarf (how it was traditionally done).

We’ll dive into some simple anatomy, why I call the Clitoris the Queen of Consent, and how to access the power of the clitoris in a self-pleasure and partnered practice. Then I’ll guide you through a Sensual Breathwork practice that I call the Wild Orchid Breath.

In this session, we’ll go through some basics about your ovaries and then I’ll guide you through a full session on Ovarian Breathing, one of the most powerful vitality practices in the Taoist system. *This practice is still very vital for you if you’ve had your ovaries removed. The energetic blueprint is still very much alive.
